Yoshitomo works in global health, helping to facilitate coordination between IFPMA and the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturer’s Association (JPMA), a voluntary association of 72 research-oriented pharmaceutical companies.
Before joining IFPMA, Yoshitomo worked for Daiichi Sankyo in Japan. There, he gained wide-ranging knowledge and experience in policy activities, managing global R&D projects, and clinical development.
Yoshitomo was seconded from Diaiichi Sanyo for two years to work as a Deputy Director at the Office of Health Care Policy, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of Japan.
He has an MBA from Tokyo Metropolitan University and another in Pharmaceutical Science from Kyoto University.
