In his role, Mümün undertakes literature research, environment analysis, and provides policy support to working groups on  priority issues, including future technologies, cell and gene therapies, and digital health.

He was formerly Associate Director, Regulatory Affairs at IFPMA. Before joining IFPMA, Mümün was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of Basel’s Biozentrum, working mainly on biological network dynamics and behavior.

Mümün holds a PhD in Systems Biology and Genetics from the University of Basel. He has a Master in Biology from University of Zurich and a Bachelor’s in Chemical and Bioengineering from ETH Zurich.
