Micaela manages communications, web, and social media across IFPMA’s areas of work, particularly global health and access, co-crafting flagship events, dialogues, and publications on these topics.
Before joining IFPMA, Micaela was Communication Coordinator and Policy and Research Officer with The Lancet and Financial Times Commission on governing health futures 2030: growing up in a digital world. There, she supported the development and delivery of a groundbreaking global inquiry into the role of data and digital technologies on the future of health – especially for young people.
Previously, Micaela worked as Advocacy Manager with the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), working with national cancer organizations to support global policy on equitable access to cancer care. Micaela has consulted at The Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, with additional work experience at Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance and Dimagi South Africa.
Micaela holds a Master in Anthropology and Sociology of Development from the Institute of Graduate and Development Studies in Geneva and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
