G8 Summit & Improving Health in Africa: IFPMA / VFA briefing
Ahead of the Heiligendamm G8 summit, the IFPMA and its German member association VFA held a joint briefing on industry efforts to improve health in Africa.

IFPMA launches Clinical Trials Portal Expansion & New Partnerships Book
A new technology platform allows IFPMA Clinical Trials Portal to be integrated into other sites and languages; it is being pioneered in the FASS Swedish medicines information site.
The new 2007 edition of the IFPMA book "Partnerships to Build Healthier Societies in the Developing World" is greatly expanded and contains new sections on programs for Child & Maternal Health and Chronic Diseases.

IFPMA IVS at the 60th World Health Assembly
IFPMA IVS issued Position Statements on various current issues.
The IVS has also admitted two new Member Companies, Sinovac (China) and PowderMed (UK).
IFPMA IVS held a very well-received briefing on Pandemic Influenza Vaccines for WHA delegates.
